About Product

A gorgeous recreation of a classic American carbine used in The Korean War, Marushin released the M1 carbine quite a while ago now in both 6mm and 8mm versions. A blend of real quality wood and steel give it quality, mass and overall feeling of a good solid replica.

Just like the real steel, the difference between the M1 and M2 is in its operation. Whilst the M1 is capable of tapping away nice and quick with its semi-auto action bolt, the M2 features select fire capability to switch from the same semi-auto performance to fully automatic fire.

Besides being a fantastic looking replica good enough for display, for WWII themed Airsoft games in the Pacific theatre, Marine loadouts can make use of the M2 carbine. This is an important point to make as that gives the Marine player a small, agile gas blowback weapon with auto capability. Marines at the moment have the gas M1 Garand and AEG Thompsons at their disposal, now they have an Auto GBB carbine as well.

Kick is light but can still be felt well enough, keeping it on target is easy enough especially with its low weight (it can be used one handed even). The cyclical rate is decent so while it can shoot as fast as you can tap the trigger, the 15 round capacity can be emptied in only a few seconds. With a magazine that small, the weapons should really be fired only in short bursts (WWII style).

The Marushin M2 is available in both 6mm and 8mm versions, they are otherwise almost identical. In 6mm, the weapon is a regular performance range GBB carbine but in 8mm the change in ballistics makes it more powerful at short range and generally scarier with those enormous BBs. Although accuracy suffers at longer range, the 8mm BBs heavier weight typically keeps them on course a little better allowing them to push a little further.

These weapons have been known to take Green/Top as well as Red gas for improved performance but as this weapon is designed for HFC134a/Duster gas we can not promise the internals will hold up to the pressure over the long term. We recommend only using HFC/Duster gas as any damage to the internals may not be easily reparable.
