The Nimrod nose closing action minimises the lateral strain on the barrel hooks which means a long working life for the action even when used with magnum cartridges or when rifle barrels are exchanged for the smooth bore ones.

The Nimrod sidelock is regarded as the very best type of lock that has ever been constructed and built in Suhl. In addition to it’s historical importance it shows above all very smooth trigger pulls.
