MARK V® COMPACT FIRING PLATFORM (CFP) For big game and varmint hunters looking for an added challenge, the Mark V® CFP fits the bill. This exciting firearm offers all the legendary features and performance advantages of the traditional Mark V action in a compact, 27 1/2" package that tips the scales at just 5 1/4 lbs. The CFP features a Fibermark® composite stock (a combination of Aramid, graphite and unidirectional fibers) with tan pebble grain finish. Black spiderwebbing provides asure, positive grip and a distinctive look. A button-rifled, #2 contour 16" chrome moly (4140) barrel is pillar-bedded and is finished with a custom target crown for consistent, repeatable accuracy. All metalwork is bead blasted to a matte blue to reduce game spooking glare. As with all Mark V rifles, the CFP is guaranteed to shoot a 1 1/2" or better 3-shot group from a cold barrel at 100 yards (when used with premium ammunition)
