ST Kinetics Compact Personal Weapon (CPW) is lightweight and compact weapon with low recoil. The 9mm calibre version weighs only 1.7kg but with performances and features comparable to larger and heavier weapons of the same calibre. Besides the standard 9mm version, other ammunition calibres can be accommodated due to the CPW’s modular construction. By changing its barrel and magazine groups, the CPW can be configured to other calibres, eg. 4.6mm, 5.7mm and others. Enhanced Safety Features: The CPW incorporates a standard safety mode selector Trigger Drop Safety and Firing Pin Safety Block to ensure it is safe for use or carriage. Low Recoil: A unique cam recoil mitigation mechanism (delayed blow back operation) reduces recoil significantly to allow accurate and controlled firing. Compact Size and Low Weight: The CPW is made from high strength engineering plastic materials and aluminum, making it extremely lightweight. Its compact size facilitates ease of use as it can be conveniently carried or holstered and handled like a pistol, making it relevant to law enforcement and security forces. Mounting System -The CPW is installed with 2 sets of Picatinny Rails conforming to MIL-STD-1913 for the mounting of different sights and accessories such as fore grips, torch light, laser aiming device etc. to suit different operational scenarios. The CPW has a sturdy built-in retractable stock that provides good support during aimed fire. When retracted, it is well hidden and compact enough to be holstered without obstructing or causing discomfort to the user. The retractable buttstock enables the weapon to be used as a pistol in the one or two handed firing posture or a sub-machine gun in the two handed firing posture. Maximum Effective Range is 100 m.
