Exclusive sound protection concept for the semi-automatic rifle SR1 Basic: The barrel lengths of the SR1 Basic Suppressor for the use of suppressors are 500mm in the standard and 510mm in the magnum version – the barrels have no sights, but a M15x1 muzzle thread to mount the Merkel Suppressor. Utilising the over-barrel principle of the Merkel Suppressor, the gun is only elongated by 140mm.
The use of the SR1 Basic Suppressor is also possible without a suppressor – however, to do this, the gas removal has to be adjusted. The switch to change from normal to suppressor mode and back is safely located under the fore-end. Rifle and suppressor are perfectly adjusted to each other and work in perfect harmony.
