Smith & Wesson  – .38/44 Outdoorsman (prewar)  Model is chambered in .38 Special.  This gun was manufactured in the early 1930’s, probably 1933 on the square butt N frame with 5 screws.  Deep blue finish, 6.5 inch barrel with adjustable rear sight and USRA front sight.  Removable trigger shoe installed.  This a near mint, hand ejector with original walnut grips, serrated front and back strap,  mint bore and chambers.   From the estate of Marine Corps Colonel S. A. Christie.  His name is lightly engraved on bottom of butt above the serial number. This hard to find revolver is in excellent condition, no marks and bluing is near 100% with only very slight blue loss on muzzle.
