The new Enhanced Elite P226 and P229 series feature enhancements: the hard coat anodize frame features a beavertail, front strap checking and an integral accessory rail. A Nitron-coated machined slide offers a choice of three-dot contrast sights or SIGLITE night sights. Also features forward cocking serrations and a reversible magazine catch, a redesigned one-piece modular grip with enhanced ergonomics, an upgraded decocking lever, and joins an automatic firing pin safety block, a hammer safety intercept notch and a trigger bar disconnect. The SRT (Short Reset Trigger) System comes standard on the Elite series pistols and offers a 60% shorter reset than the conventional DA/SA trigger systems.
