Three-position safety lets the shooter lock the bolt, or load and unload, with the safety engaged. Ruger M77 Mark II Target rifles feature Ruger’s unique, two-stage target trigger, which is precision adjusted at the factory to provide a short "take-up" stage, followed by a crisp, light target pull, with no creep or overtravel.
