The M77 Hawkeye Compact Magnum. Based on a shortened .375 Ruger case, the .300 and .338 Ruger Compact Magnums match the .300 and .338 Win. Mag. in performance, but with a well-balanced, quick-handling, 20" barrel rifle. The LC6 trigger features smooth, crisp performance. Non-rotating, Mauser-type controlled round feed extractor features a fixed blade-type ejector that positively ejects the empty cases as the bolt is moved fully rearward. Hinged solid-steel floorplate for easy unloading. Features an engraved Ruger logo and patented latch that is flush with the trigger guard to avoid accidental dumping of cartridges. Three-position safety. Features cold hammer-forged barrels. Patented integral scope mounts, machined directly on the solid-steel receiver provide a stable mounting surface for scope rings (scope rings included). Ergonomical stock has rounded contours along the barrel, on the bottom of the stock, and on the top of the pistol grip. New for 2011: Alloy steel models return to a satin blued finish. Includes: rugged one-piece, stainless steel bolt; studs for mounting sling swivels.
