The MPA 556 is a SPR style rifle with several improvements. The SPR, used by the Special Operations Forces of both the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy, is a heavily modified light designated marksman variation of the AR-15/M16 line of infantry weapons, and is chambered for NATO standard 5.56x45mm ammunition. Precision machined match set billet upper & lower receiver.Ultra match barrel, precision machined and chambered from Kreiger barrel blanks. Hammerhead muzzle brake. Lewis Machine Tool (LMT) Sopmod. Upper and lower precision machined from 7075-T651 premium billet material. Tightest bore tolerances in the industry. Forward assist. 1913 style flat top rail. MPA precision bolt carrier group.
