The Minimus Plate Carrier is a specially designed vest, particularly suited for operations that require lightweight and intense athletic capabilities.
With its minimalist structure, it is an ideal solution for equipment weighing around 12 kg. The vest's non-sagging feature is achieved through the use of Amorphous thermoplastic-reinforced side panels, similar to those found in the Medius vest. This ensures that the Minimus vest remains lightweight, flexible, and free from sagging during use.
The vest can be customized with additional features such as shoulder and internal ballistic impact pads, making it adaptable like the Medius vest. This flexibility allows Minimus users to easily prepare their vests for heavy operations.
In the Minimus vest, a thin shoulder cover is used instead of a padded and thick one. It is designed with hydrophobic materials to repel water and features circulation-enhancing properties for body temperature balance, as well as lightweight laser-cut holes for improved mobility.
The extra-thin Amorphous thermoplastic side panels provide resistance against sagging with the ability to carry medium to heavy loads and accommodate ballistic side plates. These panels, which are only 7x5 cm wide, directly impact the operator's ease of movement.
Due to its horizontal body-hugging but non-bending structure under vertical weight, heavy pockets do not sag, and side plates can be safely used on the side panels.
Emergency release buckles, which have passed successful tests of up to 405 kg on the Maximus vest, prove their superior durability. Therefore, choosing the same buckles for the Minimus vest has been decided as the best option for user safety. These release buckles offer quick and easy escape for users during amphibious operations, casualty care, and situations where rapid removal of the vest is required.
