GSh-18 Sport is developed on the basis of GSh-18 combat pistol and intended for competition firing practice and other shooting disciplines. It complies with the requirements of IPSC for “serial pistols”. Like the basic model, GSh-18 Sport features maximum combat readiness, high accuracy, large magazine capacity, good ergonomic design and long life. The pistol has the following modifications and versions: GSh-18 Sport – magazine capacity is 10 cartridges; GSh-18 Sport 2 – magazine capacity is 18 cartridges. Ejection port is located at the top of the slide with ejection straight up and to the back. Trigger mechanism design with preliminary hammer cocking provides stable trigger pull and trigger travel during the first shot as well as the rest. Ejection of fired cases in the upper-back direction provides easy ambidextrous operation with any shelter location. The striker-type trigger mechanism provides deep fit of the pistol in hand. Low position of the barrel-bore axis reduces muzzle climb during firing; light weight enables quick aiming. Aiming range is max. 50 m. |
