9A-91 assault rifle is a compact automatic weapon. It is a gas operated, rotating bolt weapon, which utilizes a long stroke gas piston, located above the barrel, and a rotating bolt with 4 lugs.Having smaller size and weight than most of existing submachine-guns, the 9A-91 significantly surpasses them in range and hitting effect, providing 8 mm steelplate penetration at 100 m. The rifle fires cartridges with a heavy subsonic bullet that enable effective silencer operation and feature low rebound effect, that is of particular value for urban combat operations. Small dimensions, a folding cocking handle and buttstock which does not increase the total size of the rifle when folded, make it easy for transportation and concealed carryng. Safety / fire selector lever has 3 positions and allows for single shots and full automatic fire. The flip-up rear sight has settings for 100 and 200 meters range. Options are a silencer and collimating sight. Cartridge: 9x39 mm SP-5, SP-6. Sighting range is up to 200 m. Fire mode: single and automatic. Dimensions 373?44?190 mm.
