IWI Tavor STAR

The Tavor was developed in close cooperation with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). The Tavor is today in service in the IDF infantry troops as well as in the forces of other countries throughout the world. Bull pup configuration - a rear center of gravity, which enables a rapid acquisition of the target and provides the ability to fire the weapon with one hand. Furthermore, the bull pup configuration enables a short weapon design with a long barrel, making it compact for Close Quarters Battle (CQB) and at the same time lethal for long ranges. Ambidextrous – complete and easy conversion by the unit armorer from a right-handed to a left-handed shooter. Has true “OTB” (over-the beach) capability and can be safely fired after being submerged in water and not completely dry. Designed for maximum operator and armorer level maintenance, thus, reducing maintenance and overall life cycle costs. Folding back-up sights that include tritium for night combat. Designed for very easy field striping into 2 parts, making it very easy to clean the weapon. 100% interchangeability.- with the other parts of the Tavor family, thus reducing the overall costs of the system. Has a last round stopper. All the metal parts of the weapon are corrosion resistant. Continuous fire of 240 rounds before cook off. Recoil absorbent butt pad for rifle grenade firing.
