The Holosun HS510 C collimator is a very versatile holographic sight designed for use on long weapons. The red dot sight is based on a solid aluminum housing, which in turn rests in a virtually indestructible titanium frame. Inside, the electronic components are mounted very firmly. Thanks to this, the collimator is incredibly resistant to shocks. It can be used on weapons of virtually any caliber and in very dynamic situations.

Additionally, as one of the first red dot sights in the world, the Holosun HS510 C collimator is powered not only by a regular battery but also by a solar battery located in a very well-sheltered, strategically placed recess in the structure. Thanks to it, whenever the collimator is exposed to the sun, it is powered by the sun and not by a regular battery. In practice, this means that the battery has a gigantic lifespan of approximately 50,000 hours or 5 years. Power support itself is not the only advantage. The collimator has a Solar Failsafe function, which can also power the Holosun HS510 C collimator from a solar battery even when the battery is empty or there is no battery at all. How surprised we were when, after a month of summer use, we saw that the battery was not even inserted! Moreover, the solar battery is also a kind of sensor that will automatically increase or decrease the brightness of the aiming point depending on the surroundings, so that it always seems the same to the operator.

Another feature of this holographic sight is the Shake Awake function. This is a function that turns off the collimator automatically after a specified time, but only when the collimator is stationary. Even when this happens, as soon as we raise the weapon to our eye, the holographic sight will immediately turn on. We probably won't even notice that it was turned off. The Solar Failsafe and Shake Awake function make the Holosun HS510C the intelligent colimator.

The holographic sight has 12 brightness adjustment levels, 4 of which are intended for night vision devices and 8 for daytime conditions. Thanks to this, each night vision device will be compatible with the Holosun HS510C collimator. Additionally, the collimator has three sight appearance options: Red Dot 2 MOA in a 65 MOA circle, Red Dot 2 MOA only, and 65 MOA circle only.
