Compared to their more mundane standard-caliber European cousins, the Progress dangerous game action sports very heavy walls, futher reinforced by solid integral side ribs. Our Progress action will withstand the highest pressures that can result from a long exposure of cartridges to tropical sun and heat. The demi-bloc barrels are soldered to a unique, fully machined monobloc carrying the familiar Chapuis Armes double parallel lumps. A full-length solid jointing rib makes the barrels extraordinarily stable shot after shot. An elevated quarter-rib sighting plane is machined integral with the jointing rib and receives a classic folding-leaves rear sight, while the front sight pedestal is also an integral part of the rib. A typical Chapuis Armes Dangerous Game Rifle will put two bullets within one and a half inch of each other at 50 meters, which is quite unusual in this class of firearm.
