The Beretta S56E was part of Beretta's S series that was made from 1955. The Model S56E is purely hunting shotgun, made in Italy in 1960's and imported in the USA from 1977 when Beretta opened their branch in the USA. Before 1977 they were know in Europe as S5x series, while ones imported in the USA were called the BL- series. After 1977 Beretta used same names for European and American models. The Beretta S56E is over and under shotgun with single selective, single non-selective or double trigger. High strength chromium molybdenum steel barrels with vent rib. Length of pull from 13.5 to 14.25 inches. Selection of chokes. Boheler Antinit barrels.
