12.7x99mm Cartridges

12.7x99mm Cartridges were designed in the United States for the use in the Machine Gun/Rifle. The main intention was done to use it in the Browning .50 caliber machine gun. The development of the machine gun was done in the year 1921.
Due to its good results and performance, this particular type of the cartridge is even still being used in the various armed forces and organizations. NATO and many other countries come under the users of the cartridge. The designer of the cartridge is Winchester Repeating Arms Co. and Frankford Arsenal. It is rimless and bottleneck case type cartridge.
