About Company
In 1866 Oliver Winchester bought control of New Haven Arms Company and changed the name to the Winchester Repeating Arms Company. That same year the Model 1866 "Yellow Boy lever action was introduced. It is was first gun to bear the Winchester name.
Today we work in close partnership with the Winchester company in preserving and growing the legendary Winchester brand.
Many people are unaware of the contributions of Winchester in preserving and protecting America and the free world. Major contributions in ammunition and firearms production helped the United States and its allies through both world wars. And a commitment to service when needed has been constant.
