The company Waffen Beer

Josef Beer himself has been an active fisherman and passionate hunter with worldwide hunting experience for many years, as well as a dog handler and, by the way, also 1st rifleman. Josef Beer learned the gunsmithing business from scratch and later, after a traineeship at "Frankonia" in Würzburg, took over the business of the then Kemptner gunsmith Kainz in 1969.

Since 1973 "Waffen Beer" can be found in the premises of the large house in Fürstenstrasse 6. Where at first hunting weapons were on offer, came with wife Barbara selected traditional and country style with it. Especially for loden coats "Waffen Beer" at the time was one of the first addresses in the Allgäu. Over the years, the Beers have expanded more and more and expanded the offer constantly.

Today, "Weapons Beer" can justly look proudly on what is arguably the largest selection of weapons in Germany. In the in-house gunsmith master workshop repairs, shank work, revisions and riflescope montages are carried out reliably. The shooting takes place at the nearby shooting range. Many shooting clubs have bound themselves with their wishes and needs to the house and also in the clothing sector is "weapons Beer" at costumes and music clubs from the immediate and wider environment highly popular.
Even entire hotel teams are equipped by the Beers with traditional clothing. However, the majority of customers are private individuals, from young hunters to marksmen, and most have been coming for many years.
They are from all over Europe and appreciate not only the selection but above all the expertise and many years of experience of the Beers.
Through the many hunting trips among others to Alaska, Africa, Hungary, Romania or the Czech Republic, Josef Beer knows exactly which outfit and which equipment is required in the respective country to experience a unique hunting adventure. Because each hunt is different and differs, for example, by the particular region, the species that is to be hunted and the season in which the journey takes place.

The hunting passion of the Beers has also transferred to son Peter. Even as a little boy, he accompanied his parents on a hunt and over the years internalized his father's hunting philosophy. Today, the likeable young man is also a trained gunsmith, an enthusiastic hunter since the age of 16 and an important support in the family business for his parents. After four years training in the gunsmith trade in Ferlach (Carinthia) he successfully completed the master class. Since August 2009, the young gunsmith master works hard in the company.

Barbara Beer, with her special knack for fashionable novelties, mainly looks after the costumes and country house fashion section. Young customers in particular have been asking themselves more and more for dirndl and lederhosen for some time now. Not only good advice, but also well-known brands and special pieces from current collections in leather, linen, loden or silk can be found at Waffen Beer.

A fact that also leads vacationers and tourists to the Beers again and again. Because mountain hunting in the Allgäu is appealing and so many hunter families combine their hunting trip in the Allgäu Alps with a visit to the "Waffen Beer".
