Todd Research Ltd has been manufacturing X-ray equipment for over 60 years and developed the worlds’ first X-ray security scanner, designed specifically for the mailroom, in 1972. Since these cabinet X-ray scanners were first introduced, the company has continued to develop its range of products to fulfil all security detection requirements and challenges posed by terrorists and activist for public and private organisations. 
Through oits commitment to continued innovation Todd Research are able to provide effective Threat Detection Equipment (TDE) with software enhancements, enabling the operator to quickly and easily manipulate an image to help determine the make-up of a suspect item. Company's comprehensive range of scanners are equipped with functionality such as “energy stripping” a software application that separates organic, inorganic or metal components  allowing them to be viewed autonomously for greater clarification. 
Company's knowledge and experience give it a comprehensive understanding that threats can take many forms. Powder borne threats can be easily delivered as the material is light and often hard to detect. A small quantity, if delivered, can have devastating consequences. Even hoax devices can disable an organisation causing catastrophic losses in revenue from evacuation and  damage  to corporate image and staff morale. Todd's customers range from Government bodies and British Embassies around the world via the Foreign & Commonwealth Office. The company also supplies units to the Private sector, to include global banking and insurance groups. 
Its x-ray scanning equipment is available in a range of footprints from desktop cabinet scanners such as the TR10 through to baggage conveyor scanners such as the TR70. 
All Todd Research equipment is available with full support and maintenance packages. In addition the company can offer comprehensive training courses and supportive equipment, including its range of handheld and  walk through metal detectors. 
Todd Research is part of the Supply Plus Group of companies, and operates from a 64,000 square feet facility based in Cambridge.
