Simad SpA

The SIMAD SpA is the continuation of the LTD Co., established in 1971, with the purpose of manufacturing military products for training and defence. Through constant research and development, the company has come to the forefront in its role as manufacturer of smoke-generating chemicals, illuminating flares, and tear-gass grenades for manual or projectile use; the latter being available as 12-bore, or 38/40 mm cartridges,with special anti-riot, anti-crime, or anti-sabotage charges. 
Additionally SIMAD produces cartridges for hunting or for sport; also signalflares which can be shot from submarines when submerged. 
The factory is situated near the town of Oricola on the Roma-L'Aquila motorway at approximately 60 Km from Rome.
