JSC Krasnozavodsk chemical factory

JSC "Krasnozavodsk chemical factory" was founded in 1915. Since 1948, it is the largest producer of hunting cartridges and ammunition.
The company has a great production potential to produce hunting and sporting cartridges, magnum cartridges, cartridges of traumatic action, components for cartridges. At the same time on the basis of the production of hunting cartridges, our company is the only manufacturer of signal rifle cartridges 12, 16 and 20 calibers. The use in the manufacture of ammunition parts of its own manufacture, powder and primers produced the related companies in the sector, allows increasing annual market demand for hunting cartridges.
The geometrical dimensions of cartridges and their specifications are fully meet the requirements of Permanent International Commission (the C.I.P.) of the Brussels Convention, which was confirmed by Liege international testing station.
Each batch of cartridges is tested by shooting rounds of ballistic complex «Paini Sistemi" (Italy), with automatic processing and results. This complex allows simultaneous testing of cartridges with the definition of velocity and pressure, determines the nature of the ignition of gunpowder charge, changes in pressure in the barrel during firing and evaluate the safety and reliability of functioning of ammunition.
The company has developed, implemented and certified quality management system in accordance with the requirements of GOST PISO9001-2011 and GOST RV 15.002-2012. Manufacturing of the case tube 12, 16 and 20 calibers is carried out on automatic lines Reifenhauser (Germany) extrusion production. Production of the base of case is carried out on the Belgium (Bi 50, Bi 80) and Japan ( Aida) sheet-stamping machines. Wads and wad-containers manufacturing is carried out on modern injection molding machines made in Germany: “Demag” and “Kuasy”. Cartridges manufacturing is carried out on a high-performance rotary line STORM ("E.M.G. Srl ", Italy).
For each caliber designed wad-containers of various designs that provide good obturation powder gases, comfort shot, uniform distribution of fractions and high accuracy at a distance of 35 meters.
For hunting with dogs for the game at short distances up to 20 meters cartridges with increased scree have been developed, in which instead of the wad-container used wad-absorber, which provides a uniform dispersion of the fraction and, consequently, increases the probability of the  injury at close range. Universal wad-absorber design allows for maximum obturation and reduce recoil.
The use of certain brands of powder for each caliber allows to stabilize and improve the ballistic characteristics of ammunition, as well as increase the speed of flight of the projectile shot at low values of maximum pressure of powder gases and, as a consequence, improve the comfort of the shot.
